Eligible New Mexico residents can obtain free monthly phone service and a smartphone through the federal Lifeline program. New Mexico also offers enhanced Lifeline benefits for residents on Tribal lands.

To qualify for Lifeline in New Mexico, you must:

  • Participate in SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, or other qualifying programs
  • OR have household income at or below 135% FPL
  • Be a New Mexico resident
  • Only one Lifeline per household
