How to Qualify
There are two main ways to qualify for free government phone benefits through the Lifeline program.
Check Income Requirements
Your household income must be at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
Verify Program Participation
Alternatively, participate in qualifying government assistance programs like SNAP or Medicaid.
One Benefit Per Household
Only one Lifeline benefit is allowed per household as per FCC rules.
Annual Recertification
You must recertify your eligibility every year to maintain your benefits.
2025 Income Guidelines
Your household income must be at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. This is calculated based on your total household size and annual income.

Qualifying Government Programs
If you participate in any of these programs, you automatically qualify for Lifeline benefits, regardless of your income level.
SNAP (Food Stamps)

WIC

TANF

Tribal Assistance
